Attention Insight

Today we will look at the customer’s attention when watching static ads and show a tool that predicts this attention using artificial intelligence.

We must approach banner creation with the knowledge that in the flood of all offers in the online space we have only a limited amount of time to attract the user’s attention. And if we succeed in doing so, we must also maintain their interest in the product or service.

In video formats, we focus on an engaging beginning, which we call the “hook”. And this usually consists of the first 2-3 seconds. If there is nothing interesting, shocking, unusual or funny at the beginning, the probability that the ad will be successful decreases.

And since even with static ads we have about the same amount of time for our potential customer to not only stop at the ad, but to stay with it, every detail matters. We must think about what the viewer will notice first and what should interest them the most, and whether it is interesting, for example, in color.

There shouldn’t be too much text, of course. We don’t read banners anymore, we scan them, so less is often more.

Attention Insight is a great tool for analyzing what catches the eye first. It can be used in conjunction with other tools – it works as a plugin in Photoshop, Figma, or even Adobe Express! So you don’t necessarily have to export your design and then upload it to the Attention Insight website; instead, you can perform the analysis directly in the program you use to create your ads.

The result of the analysis is a so-called “heatmap” or focus map (depending on which option suits you best). These show which parts of the banner are the first to catch the eye and which are the last to be noticed or not at all. Based on this, you can optimize your static formats before launching your ad.

You can try Attention Insight for free for 7 days. We are already looking forward to the upcoming extension of the tool, which is attention prediction in videos! 😎
Don’t miss out on Attention Insight and make your work more efficient!
